“Can you look up for me?” Baekhyun asks, voice shaking, and Chanyeol, not understanding, looks up. Baekhyun is standing just outside the frosted glass of the phonebooth, umbrella held over his head and phone to his ear, making his face glow pale and eerie in the darkness. Chanyeol stares at him, and he realizes that Baekhyun is hearing the real Chanyeol and seeing him at the same time.

“Baekhyun,” he says, and Baekhyun steps back as though he had punched him. “Baekhyun, I’m scared I’ll never see you again.”

“I can see you just fine, Park Chanyeol,” Baekhyun says, voice fragile, almost broken. “I can see you just fine.”
